The Children First Learning Partnership multi-academy Trust is celebrating as Marlfields Primary School joined them on 1st April 2025, taking the number of schools in the Trust to seven.

The Children First Learning Partnership was formed in 2019 and consists of a variety of primary and first schools, including two recently deemed to be Outstanding.

Gary Provis, Chair of Governors at Marlfields Primary School, said: “We are delighted that Marlfields Primary has now become a member school of the Children First Learning Partnership. After a comprehensive search for a Trust it was clear that the aims and values of the CFLP Trust align with those of Marlfields.

The support and guidance that has been shown to us by not only the central CLFP team but also the other member schools to ensure the smooth transition has been an exemplar and a true reflection of the core values that the Trust holds by putting the children at the heart of all that we do together.

CEO of the Children First Learning Partnership and National Leader of Education, Abigail Rourke, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Marlfields Primary to our family of schools. With a proven track record of school-to-school collaboration, we focus on providing an ambitious quality of education that will improve and sustain outcomes for all children, further supported by our well-planned and high-quality staff development programme.

“The school, which sits at the heart of the Congleton community it serves, has fabulous potential and is already benefiting significantly from the opportunities on offer to work and learn together across the Trust. This has included the installation of a new CCTV system, IT hardware, staff training and also the provision of a wide range of resources for curriculum delivery.

“It is an exciting time for our growing Trust and we would welcome an initial discussion with leaders or governors of schools that share our vision and values and want to find out more about joining our Trust.”
