The Reginald Mitchell Primary School

The Reginald Mitchell Primary School

Joined CFLP in April 2019

The Reginald Mitchell Primary School is a one-form entry primary school catering for 230 3 – 11 year-olds and in April 2019 we joined the Children First Learning Partnership. We are located in North Staffordshire, very close to the border of Cheshire and the city of Stoke-on-Trent.

The school was originally called Butt Lane Primary School but was renamed in 1951 as a lasting tribute to Reginald Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire fighter aeroplane, who was born within earshot of our school.

Our aim is to provide the finest educational experience in a caring, safe, bright and stimulating environment. Our school motto is Work together, Learn together, Reach for the sky.

We understand that successful learning takes place when we work closely with families, so we are committed to creating strong links between school and home, as well as with the wider community.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection we were judged to be Good in all areas. Visitors to our school are most welcome and we strongly recommend that all prospective parents come and take a look at our wonderful school in action.

“Pupils are helped to learn and apply new subject knowledge in a sequential way so that they become confident learners, ready for the next stage in their education.”

Inspected: 27-28 June 2023
