Kingsfield First School
Joined CFLP in April 2019
Built in 1908, Kingsfield First School is at the heart of the Biddulph community, located in the town centre. Deceptive by looks, we are quite a large school with a two-form entry and a vibrant Nursery. Fortunately, Kingsfield has a wealth of resources in addition to the spacious classrooms. Resources include: several additional teaching spaces for small group work, a library, a music room, a fully resourced computer suite, a cookery room, a multi-purpose hall and a fully equipped kitchen that provides school meals freshly cooked on site.
Externally in addition to the three playgrounds, we have a recently installed a gym trail and also a play park and a school field which has the formal sports field and a woodland nature area. To complement this array of resources, Kingsfield has 22 full-time expert teaching staff and working part time we have a forest schools teacher, a swimming coach and a peripatetic music teacher. Such facilities, combined with the staffing, allow us to offer a fully enriched curriculum to include swimming, forest schools, ukulele and violin lessons.
With the school motto of Learn Together…Play Together…Succeed Together, the essence of partnership grows from the school community and beyond, being federated with Knypersley First school through the Learning First Federation and also joining the Children First Learning Partnership in April 2019.
Following our most recent Ofsted inspection, Kingsfield was recognised as a Good school and described as a school where “pupils enjoy school and achieve well.” Visitors to our school are most welcome and we strongly recommend that all prospective parents come and take a look at our wonderful school in action.
