Castlechurch Primary School
Joined CFLP in December 2020
Our school is central to our local community and we see ourselves as a family. At Castlechurch our mission statement is ‘Working together to achieve our best’, and we are very proud of the strong, positive links we have with our wider community, as well as the children and families who make our school the fabulous, welcoming hub that it is.
We strive to provide our children not only with the tools for being life-long learners through the broad and balanced curriculum we offer, but also through instilling our pupils with the Castlechurch school values of PRIDE – showing passion, respect, individuality, determination, and enjoyment in all we do.
Sat in an elevated position in the heart of the Highfields estate in Stafford, Castlechurch Primary School enjoys wonderful sweeping views of the town and is only a few minutes away from the historic Stafford Castle, which we make regular use of!
Our school name reflects the close location of our school to both the castle and the beautiful church that sits at the foot of the hill on which the castle stands. Built in 1964 on the site of an old oak tree, which you will no doubt hear mentioned in our wonderful school song, our classes are all named after trees, reflecting our belief that with nurture, learning never stops growing – just like trees.
We currently have 295 children on roll and we educate children from the age of 3 – 11. Education at Castlechurch starts in our nursery, Acorns class, which has its own building and outdoor learning area, providing a safe and secure start to their education, growing their roots for lifelong learning.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection we were judged to be Good in all areas. Visitors to our school are most welcome and we strongly recommend that all prospective parents come and take a look at our wonderful school in action.
