Chair of Directors’ Message
I warmly welcome you to the Children First Learning Partnership, where you will find our shared ethos and values to be both inspirational and aspirational for our children.
Our Trust currently consists of six schools: Castlechurch Primary School, Knypersley First School, Kingsfield First School, Oxhey First School, Reginald Mitchell Primary School and Springhead Primary School. Each school is unique and all have kept their own special identity, despite joining together as a multi-academy trust.
The curriculum and care we provide for our children is always at the heart of everything that we do, and our ‘Inspiring Excellence Together’ mission statement shapes and tailors the learning journey we provide, in which every child really does matter. The pastoral care each of our schools offers is both nurturing and matched to each child’s individual needs. The well-being of all is at the centre, ensuring we are caring, compassionate and considerate.
Our Board of Directors and Members are composed of people from different walks of life, who effectively utilise their local knowledge of the area, skills in education, business, finance and school governance to support and drive the strategic direction we travel in. We are all outward-looking, forward-thinking, committed and ambitious for all of the children across the trust in order to ensure they get the best education possible. We strive to follow the three core functions of governance:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the Trust
- Holding the Chief Executive to account for the performance of the schools, their pupils and the performance of the staff
- Overseeing the financial performance of the Trust and ensuring money is well spent.
Our schools follow a collaborative and coaching model, which is instrumental in how we shape, grow and improve educational and personal outcomes alongside the development of a workforce that is inspired and inspires others, building capacity for our future growth. Strong, open relationships across our Trust are fundamental to its success; whether that be between staff, parents, children or the wider community we serve.
